The Black Sash

TCOE is a national organisation operating in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Limpopo Provinces. Focused on land rights, land access and land use, TCOE interventions focus on: Land and agrarian reform, local government and food sovereignty. sjcSocial Justice Coalition (SJC)

Founded in 2008, the SJC is a membership-based social movement made up of 17 branches across Khayelitsha, Kraaifontein, Crossroads, and Gugulethu in Cape Town. With over 2500 members mainly living in informal settlements, their campaigns are based on research, education, and advocacy and are divided across two programmes including the Local Government Programme and the Safety and Justice Programme. Campaigns aim to ensure all people have access to a democratic and effective police and criminal justice system.
